Our Past, Present and Future

Founded in 1978 by Herb and Paulette Minatre, Bay Shore Systems Inc. started in the Bay area of California. In 1996 the company and its five employees found their home in Rathdrum Idaho, and we have been growing ever since. By expanding our product lines, entering new markets, and creating opportunities for our employees to grow personally and professionally, we strive to create a sustainable business that supports customers and employees alike.

It's dirty, tough and exciting

At Bay Shore Systems, we custom engineer and build tough, reliable drills for specialty drilling contractors, utilities & transmission line companies and general contractors. We give our customers around the world an advantage in conventional and extreme foundation drilling arenas. Our drilling equipment is built to last a lifetime, which is why 99 percent of our drills are still in use today.

How we do business

Bay Shore Systems has a legacy of craftsmanship, trust, and dedication to our customers’ experience. The relationship we have with our customers is unique.  As we grow new product lines and support legacy drills that are still working hard in the world, we still know our customers by name.  We believe the best way to do business is to empower our employees to take care of both internal and external customers.

Employees have the opportunity to regularly see and ask questions about the financial health of Bay Shore.  Financial awareness allows our employees to make professional decisions to best support their customers and make decisions personally to support themselves and their families.

The employees of Bay Shore Systems love the communities where they and their families live, learn and play. Bay Shore is grateful for local support of our business by schools, police, fire, and emergency services as well as local youth and senior programs. We are honored to have the opportunity to give back. How we contribute to our community is important to our employees and a source of pride in working for a company who values making our corner of the world better.
We encourage employees to volunteer for organizations who support this vision of giving back by offering a volunteer time off benefit. Employees take advantage of this benefit to help with various local projects which can range from fabricating goal posts for local youth sports to food bank distributions for seniors in our area.
Bay Shore has a tradition of supporting local charities through our annual golf tournament. This anticipated tournament has grown over the years from a small group of employees to an event that is supported by customers, vendors, employees, family, friends, and the community. We are very proud to say we have donated over $500,000 to local charities that are near and dear to the hearts of our employees, and that have a profound impact on our community.
